4C has launched a new service - 4 All Ports.
Users visiting the new web based service will be provided with detailed
information on the docks, harbours, quays and terminals for ports around
the world. 4 All Ports is phone and tablet friendly and compliments the
existing port information available on the 4C Offshore website.
The purpose of the service is to provide
a single port of call for vessel owners and operators, crews and other
port users. Not only will they find all the metrics for individual docks
and quays within the port areas, but essential, up to date 24 hour contact
information for commercial managers and harbour masters.
In addition, the website will provide
practical information on local suppliers to the ports so users will know
who to contact for chandlery, ship repairs and provisions and other necessary
services.
Launching the new service, 4C CEO
Chris Anderson said “we decided to develop the new service in response
to enquiries from customers. Port information available on the internet
is often fragmented and out of date. Offering users all they need to know
in one place when visiting a port, especially when the visit is unscheduled,
is, we believe, an invaluable service.”
The mapping port data from around the
world is a challenging task but 4C Offshore is highly experienced in this
type of work, as demonstrated by its unique modelling and mapping of the
offshore wind sector. More recently, the company has introduced the mapping
of all the offshore transmission infrastructure across North West Europe.
It has also been working on areas of the Oil and Gas sector.
