Bladt pushes out first frame for Wikinger

The first of 82 A-frames has been completed and is ready for the next step in the fabrication process for Iberdrola's 350MW Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm.

In total, Bladt Industries will deliver 41 four-legged jacket foundations, installation is expected to start in O1 2016. VBMS were awarded the contract to install 70 turbine foundations and six piles for the offshore substation.

Navantia has also been contracted to manufacturer the remaining 29 foundations, these are being built in their shipyard in Fene.

Wikinger is located in the German EEZ of the Baltic Sea, 35 km from the island of Rugen and near the maritime borders with Denmark, Sweden and Poland. The project will consists of 70 AD 5-135 Adwen turbines.
