CGN Rudong 150 MW Construction start

At 18:30 on the 27th May, after nearly six hours of effort, more than 10 kilometers away from the shore of the Yellow Sea. The outside surface of a wind turbine foundation pile firmly settled to the mud 56 meters below the surface. This marks the start of construction for China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group Rudong 150MW.

CGN Rudong 150 MW offshore wind farm project is China's first to meet the "Double Ten" provisions (above depth of -10 meters, more than 10 kilometers from the shore) of offshore wind power project. The project will provide the first offshore booster station , and the use of the largest three-core 110kV submarine fan base large diameter pipe pile foundation, the foundation for our biggest pile diameter, wall thickness maximum, the longest pile length of steel pipe pile foundation.

According to the construction personnel, the wind farm is expected to put into operation in December 2016, the estimated annual consumption of over 400 million degrees online. Annual savings of 130,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 26.7 million tons.
