Grant Thornton agreed on behalf of GROW Offshore Wind, who provide funding for suppliers in the offshore wind market, with CMP Ltd, based at Ringwood and Northfleet, UK, a commission to examine the feasibility for a compact offshore JUB concept to deliver economies of scale covering O&M work packages on UK Round 1 and 2 Offshore wind assets.

CMP reviewed current and expected work scopes, working practices specific to handling and change out, logistical support and rate of accomplishment, together with restrictions through variable weather and sea state.

Taken over the operational design life of UK Round 1 & 2 offshore wind assets, the concept introduces the propensity to improve real- time multi task O&M delivery economies.

The company engaged John Howard Associates to project manage the commission in conjunction with Roger O Kane and Hydrocharter Associates.
