4C is now TGS
We are excited to announce a significant milestone in 4C Offshore's journey. Our integration into the TGS family marks the beginning of a new era in offshore wind market intelligence.
The Oleg Strashnov will also be utilised for the installation of the project's substation jacket and topside, currently being completed at Sembmarine SLP's yard in Lowestoft. The jacket is scheduled to sail-away at the beginning of May and the topside is expected to follow in August.
The Stemat Spirit, operated by VBMS, arrived within the vicinity of the export cable route last week. VBMS has been contracted to carry out the installation of the project's export cable. The vessel will start installing the cable from its landfall point as it progresses towards the location designated for the offshore substation.
Last month VBMS kicked off the Pre-Lay Grapnel Run (PLGR) operations associated with cable installation. The Anna-B followed the export cable route to hook in and recover all small debris like lost fishing nets, ropes and wires from the seabed. The Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm was made in July 2014 with onshore work kicking off in March 2015.
The 402MW project is expected to be generating power in Q1 2017 with full commissioning expect no later December 2017. For more information about the project or vessels mentioned in this article, please follow the links provided. Alternatively, you can view the project using our interactive map.
