I find it incredible that the Crown Estates should offer an extension to this Round 1 windfarm site which, had it not existed and were now to apply for consent, would be rejected on the grounds that it is too close inshore. It is akin to a local Council giving consent to an extension to a house that was built in contravention to the regulations.
