The summer weather is enabling Vattenfall to continue work on the 50MW Kentish flats extension (Kentish 2). The pre-lay matress and 3 inter-array cables have been installed.

The BoDo Installer, a multipurpose cable installation vessel, is currently deploying pre-lay mattresses which are used for cable crossing protection. The Nostag 10, also a cable installation vessel, has installed three Inter-Array cables.

Installation of the export cable is scheduled to take place next week. The export cable will be deployed using duct work that has been pre installed. According to Vattenfall  the first cable "pull-in" took place last week with jointing of onshore cable due to commence shortly.
