Ontario is not proceeding with offshore wind projects until further scientific research has been conducted on freshwater offshore wind farms. Current applications for FiT's are suspended and new applications are suspended. Project halted until a review of the use of the lake floor has been completed. Original plans were to start construction in 2012.
