Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind farm was also successfully awarded a CfD for a 714MW project off the coast of Scotland.

Ed Davey today announced that: "We are seeing a 165% increase in renewable energy since 2010  and In the recent CFD auction we saw costs for onshore wind and offshore wind fall by 17% and 18%"

Also with  offshore wind costs fallen by almost 11% over the past three years, ahead of schedule and on its path to delivering the UK Government’s target of £100/MWh by 2020.
