Offshore Wind Leaders Focus on the Future

Six operators constructing and operating windfarms off the Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex coasts will come together to emphasise the industry’s importance at renewables hub OrbisEnergy in Lowestoft.

They will focus on the jobs, investment, supply chain opportunities, economic benefits and climate advantages offshore wind energy brings and its significance to the UK’s and Europe’s future energy security. The strong pipeline of development and vision of the how the industry predicts the offshore wind landscape in the East of England and the UK will progress in the future will also be outlined.

Offshore wind farm operators attending the event are:

-ScottishPower Renewables, developers of East Anglia ONE (South East Anglia Array)
-SSE, operators of the Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm
-RWE, which plans to build the Galloper Wind Farm
-Statkraft, currently building the Sheringham Shoal
-Vattenfall, developers of East Anglia FOUR (North East Anglia Array)
-Statoil, developers of Dudgeon Wind Farm
