Yesterday (17 February) the crane vessel Rambiz, towed by the Multratug 4, arrived at the Dutch port of IJmuiden. It was there to pick up the OHVS (Offshore High Voltage Station)  delivered by barge arriving in the late hours of Sunday.

The OHVS (Offshore High Voltage Station)  was lifted into place ready for installation as soon as the weather permits

The OHVS (Offshore High Voltage Station)  will collect the electricity generated by the 43 wind turbine transforming the delivered 33kV to 150kV, sending it  25km to the landfall on the coast at Noordwijk. This will then be sent to  the onshore substation at Sassenheim. All foundations and cable connections for the  Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm were completed in 2014.

Van Oord  is acting as the main contractor for  Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm.

The wind farm is a joint project of Japan's Mitsubishi Corporation and Eneco Group.
