Rentel NV – Launch of an EU tender notice

Rentel NV, which is developing an offshore wind farm with an estimated nominal power of 288 MW in the Belgian Exclusive Economic Zone, has recently launched an EU tender notice. The concession zone, in between the operating wind farms Northwind and C-Power, is located approximately 42 km off the Belgian coast, were it is to supply its power to the new Stevin substation.

Financial Close for Rentel NV is tentatively planned to follow in 2016.

The tender notice encompasses the high voltage grid connection infrastructure, consisting of the 220kV submarine cables and the offshore substation. Contractors may express their interest in tendering for one or both lots until December 31th 2014.
