RXPE secure contract from DONG

The project is an extension to the existing 90MW wind farm and is expected to produce enough electricity to power around 180,000 UK households.

RXPE is a leading public listed Chinese power electronics technology development company established in 1967 and has been developing high power STATCOM and associated technology for over 15 years.

RXPE will deliver this project from their engineering and project delivery office based in Altrincham, near Manchester, UK. The UK office was established in 2013 to support RXPE EPC projects in Africa and India.  This project is the first for RXPE in the United Kingdom and they are in talks with other UK wind farm projects.

The RXPE MAXIVAR™ Utility grade STATCOM is probably the most advanced and reliable large scale STATCOM with an installed rating of up to ±300MVAr; purpose designed for transmission utility applications.  To date over there are over ±1300Mvar of installed capacity of the MAXIVAR STATCOMs.  RXPE is the world’s largest producer by volume of SVC’s and STATCOM’s and specialises in the power electronics and high power dynamic reactive compensation sector.
