Sabella D10 to use FMGC Ballast foundations

ABELLA, which latest tidal turbine, SABELLA D10, will very soon operate in the same location and is equipped with FMGC ballast foundation, supported the test phase. After the efficiency of the solution has been proved, SABELLA ordered 1200 shells with ballast for the protection of 200 meters long submarine cables.

IBOCS Consortium (in partnership with INNOSEA and GeM Laboratory from Nantes University), FMGC has been working on the development of gray cast iron shells with integrated ballast function for the protection of submarine cables. 2 months ago, the new solution was placed in the waters of Fromveur near Ushant.
