Effeventi completed and submitted the Environmental Impact Assessment and related electrical projects (162MW) to the Ministry of Environment at the beginning of November 2005. Since then, it went trough an intensive engineering and administrative process to comply with the all required permits. This phase has involved the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transports. The offshore wind farm will be located in Molise water and will have 54 x 3MW turbines; estimated net yearly energy production: 445000 MWh. The company obtained the positive opinion from the Ministry of Environment EIA Committee in June 2008, received the Civil Aviation authorization from ENAC, ENAV, CIGA, the navigation authorization from the region coast guard, all military authorizations and the Electrical Grid connection from TERNA. October 2009: Environment Minister and Culture Minister signed the approval of the project (VIA), the first Italian and Mediterranean offshore wind farm; October 2010: completion of the layout design changes required by the Ministry of Environment; December 2010: "Conferenza dei Servizi" at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transports.
