4C is now TGS
We are excited to announce a significant milestone in 4C Offshore's journey. Our integration into the TGS family marks the beginning of a new era in offshore wind market intelligence.
Seajacks Zaratan is designed specifically to service the wind farm installation market, as well as to provide services to the oil and gas industry in the Southern North Sea.
Seajacks Zaratan is a modified version of the MSC NG5500X design, which incorporates a fully redundant DP2 propulsion system and an 800T leg encircling crane designed by Gusto MSC. Seajacks Scylla will also be installing Veja Mate’s 67 monopiles, starting Q1 2016 with full commercial operation for the windfarm planned for Q4 2017.
Seajacks CEO Blair Ainslie said:
"Zaratan will be working in tandem with sister vessel Seajacks Scylla which has already been selected for the monopile installation. This set up of installing monopiles and TPs from separate installation jack ups was very successful on Blackstone’s 288MW Meerwind project and I am sure it will be the same here” Seajacks Scylla’s deck space of 4,600m² and Seajacks Zaratan’s deck leg capacity makes them the perfect installation team for deeper water wind farms as the components steadily get heavier and larger in the industry. The efficient and safe installation of Veja Mate offshore wind farm is a priority for everyone who works for and with Seajacks and is for every project Seajacks works on.
