Siemens wind power value chain at Husum Wind 2015

From September 15 to 18 Siemens will be presenting its wind technology at the Husum Wind 2015 trade fair. Siemens will outline its solutions for challenges faced in the wind power value chain, from generating electricity and feeding it into the grid to solutions for distribution and energy storage.

Siemens will be show casing one of their latest products, the Model SWT-3.3-130 wind turbine. The turbine is currently undergoing trial testing and according to Siemens will increase the efficiency rate for sites offering low and medium wind speeds.

Further more Siemens' load management systems and energy storage systems will be presented. Both systems are aimed at lowering future costs of distributing and integrating wind power into the grids. Siemens will also be exhibiting energy efficient ways in which wind turbines are being automated.

"The close proximity to our customers Germany makes the Husum Wind exhibition an outstanding event for us," says Dr. Markus Tacke, CEO of Siemens' Wind Power and Renewables Division. “There, we show our entire range of solutions for advanced markets in which wind power is already delivering a substantial share of the power supply. At this trade show we focus on technologies that contribute to stabilizing grids and lowering costs."

This year, Siemens' stand A10 in Hall 2 will focus primarily on cost-cutting and digitalisation across the entire wind power value chain. The company is appearing under the motto: "WINDforce: Adding Value to Your Wind Business".
