Succesful first loadout for Gode Wind 01

Friday night (20th March 2015) was full of heavy activity at Bladt’s site in Aalborg. At 04.40 am Saturday morning, the first loadout of four anode cages and transition pieces for Gode Wind Offshore Wind Farm was finished in approximately 16 hours making it a great success.

Before its arrival in Aalborg, the barge had visited Rostock in order to pick up the four monopoles for the transition pieces.

Completed installation of the 55 transition pieces is due to be completed this year.

Gode Wind 01 consists of 55 SWT-6.0-154 Siemens turbines, the project is 40km from the German coastline. Total expected cost is €1247million (£908million) ($1354million).
