Thanet appoints Balfour & Briggs to complete cable repair

Thanet OFTO has today confirmed that they have made a commitment with both Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution and Briggs Marine, to carry out wind farms cable repairs.

The vessel owned by Stemat Marine Services 'Pontra Maris' is being used for the repairs. The vessel was previously working on the first phase of London Array.

The work is expected to start towards the end of April 2015.

Back in February Balfour Beatty sold 80% of its stake to Equitix, the agreed price was £40 million (€55.9m) ($60.2m).
