APEM to open Irish office

Environmental consultancy APEM is to open an office in Cork, Ireland, in order to “provide a base to support Ireland’s growing green agenda”, according to the company. To facilitate this expansion, Dr Eliot Taylor has joined the team as APEM Ireland’s Divisional Director.

Dr Taylor has previously worked for such consultancies as Mott Macdonald, the Environment Agency, Atkins, and the Broads Authority. He has focussed to date on catchments and water, with projects delivered throughout the UK and Africa.

APEM has already secured places on framework contracts with Ireland’s Environmental Protection Agency, the Office of Public Works, and the Electricity Supply Board of Ireland (ESBI) and has carried out benthic research off the country’s west coast. The consultancy has an ambitious expansion strategy which involves recruiting “technical and strategic individuals” with an eye to “future offerings.”
