Cemre Shipyard in Turkey has launched a service operations vessel (SOV), built by the Havyard Group for ESVAGT. The 70.5-metre-long vessel has a width of 16.6 metres and a 5.6 metre draft.

Able to accommodate 60 people, it is the second of three ESVAGT vessels Cemre Shipyard was to deliver, and was expected in Q1 2020. However, financial difficulties this year added to a delay. ESVAGT was forced to contribute to an economic rescue package for Havyard in the first half of this year, while accepting a delayed delivery. The first of the three vessels launched in April 2020.

This and the latest launch are expected to work on the Triton Knoll and Moray East offshore wind farms, which both involve 9.5 MW turbines from MHI Vestas.
