The French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) has launched the tender process for the construction, operation and maintenance of a floating offshore wind farm of 230 to 270 MW, in an area off the coast of Southern Brittany.

This competitive dialogue procedure will be carried out in three phases. The first phase will be candidate selection, followed by competitive dialogue. The final phase includes tender submission and selection.

According to the tender documents, applicants must come up with innovative solutions that make the most of the area, taking into account various constraints, particularly environmental, as well as maritime safety, impact on the landscapes and visibility from the coast.

Particular attention will be paid to taking into account the territorial development issues. The perimeter of the area will be adjusted during the procedure based on, in particular, consultations and studies carried out, as well as exchanges carried out with candidates.

The deadline for asking questions is 17 May 2021 at 12 noon with the closing date for submitting applications set for 1 July 2021 at 12 noon.
