RWE Renewables UK will carry out maintenance operations using a jack-up vessel, MPI Resolution, at the Rhyl Flats offshore wind farm off the coast of North Wales.

The jack-up vessel will be carrying out maintenance at wind turbines RF01 and RF20, and will commence on or around 4th November 2020. It is expected to take approximately four days to complete, subject to weather conditions.

Rhyl Flats is located off the coast of North Wales. Construction of the project began in 2008, and it was fully commissioned in December 2009, following first production on 15th July 2009. The wind farm comprises 25 Siemens 3.6 MW offshore wind turbines and, with a maximum installed capacity of 90 MW, the project provides enough electricity to meet the demands of approximately 61,000 homes annually.
