RWE announces winners of offshore wind ecology and system competition

ARC Marine Ltd., Verlume Ltd. and ForWind, the Center for Wind Energy Research at the University of Oldenburg, have won RWE’s first international Innovation Competition. The competition was launched by RWE in November last year and aims to identify innovative solutions to improve the ecological impact of offshore wind farms and to optimise the system integration of offshore wind into the energy grid.

In a letter to the Chair of the California Air Resources Board, California's Governor Newsom called for the state to ensure that the 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan provides a path to achieve both the 2030 climate goal and state carbon neutrality no later than 2045. He requested that the final plan incorporate new efforts, including the advancement of offshore wind.

These Rare earths are essential materials for NdFeB magnets used in EVs and clean energy technologies, such as offshore wind.

The shareholders of Mainstream Renewable Power (Mainstream) and Aker Offshore Wind have entered an agreement to combine the two companies. According to the two companies, the combined entity will have a 27 GW portfolio across solar, onshore wind and bottom-fixed and floating offshore wind projects.
