Atlantic Marine's new vessel, Atlantic Enterprise, is  due to arrive in Tilbury Dock early afternoon on Wednesday 8 April. Atlantic Enterprise is a 6400t vessel which will operate as a new class of offshore mothership, floatel and accommodation vessel. She will remain in the dock for around three weeks while a DP2 system is installed.

The  SPS code compliant. vessel has been designed to support UK Round 3 developments as well as platform support and maintenance. She has 100 plus berths for passengers and will have a heave compensated 'walk to work' system fitted. The 90m vessel was formally called Geco Triton and has a 21m beam and 7.5m draft plus a built in stability system which will help ensure the comfort of passengers.

Her unique feature is a stern ‘garage’ which will accommodate two CTVs.  Paul Crowther, MD at Atlantic Marine, has said that CTV operators will be invited to tender for the supply of the vessels.

In May Atlantic Enterprise will be heading out to her first charter on Gode Wind 1 where she will remain on site until the end of the year. Offshore construction on the 330MW site is due to start shortly.

After finishing on Gode Wind 1, further work will take place to install the walk to work system along with work to accommodate two CTVs in the stern garage.
