BLIX to support soil investigations for IJmuiden Ver

BLIX has been awarded a contract to support soil investigations for the 4 GW IJmuiden Ver offshore wind farm zone. The contract runs until the end of Q1 2022.

Commissioned by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), BLIX will supervise the soil investigation for the IJmuiden Ver. Together with its partners Reynolds International, RPS Group and Wind Support, BLIX will obtain offshore soil data. RVO and BLIX will develop a state of the art dataset relevant for developers' business cases and will publicise this over a period of two years.

Offshore wind farms are built on a number of locations in the Dutch part of the North Sea. After Borssele, Hollandse Kust Zuid, Hollandse Kust Noord, and Hollandse Kust West, IJmuiden Ver is the fifth consecutive Wind Farm Zone, where BLIX is involved.
