Blue Tern to exchange Horns Rev 3 blades

Jack-up vessel Blue Tern is to carry out blade exchanges on the Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm project in the coming weeks. The project has 49 MHI Vestas 8 MW turbines which were installed by Fred. Olsen's Brave Tern. The last turbine was installed in January 2019 and the project was fully commissioned in the summer of 2019.
Blue Tern, previously Seafox 5, joined the Fred. Olsen fleet in December 2018. The 151m vessel has a lift capability of of 1,200 tons. Recently, it completed the installation 11 turbines on Trianel Windpark Borkum II after jack-up vessel Taillevent had to leave for a project in Taiwan.
