Bluestream scores Gemini inspection contract

Bluestream has announced that, in addition to already completed subsea inspection works, it now also has a contract in place for the inspection of above water support structures on the Gemini wind farm off the Dutch coast.

This summer, Bluestream will be providing a full complement of management and inspection services, including the provision of a walk-to-work vessel to get its teams to and from the structures. The company will use a vessel from Chevalier Floatels BV.

The 600 MW Gemini offshore wind farm is located 85 km off the Dutch coast, and has been operational since 2017. It was constructed between 2014 and 2017 and saw the installation of 150 Siemens SWT-4.0-130 turbines on monopile foundations.

The project is owned by HVC Groep (10% stake), Alte Leipziger and Hallesche Investment Fund (10% stake), Northland Power, Inc. (60% stake), Siemens Financial Services (20% stake). Operation and maintenance will be executed out of Eemshaven.
