Boreas prepares for SoCC

Vattenfall, for the past eighteen months, have been developing proposals for Norfolk Boreas alongside Norfolk Vanguard, and consulting with stakeholders and members of the communities of Norfolk about how it refines project proposals.

The Norfolk Boreas team is currently preparing a Statement of Community Consultation (SoCC), and a Preliminary Environmental Information (PEI). The SoCC, following informal and formal consultation with relevant local planning authorities, will be published in the autumn ahead of our statutory consultation.

The statutory consultation period will enable local people and stakeholders to review the proposals for the Norfolk Boreas project and to comment on the PEI. Following this, the project will review all the feedback received and prepare the Norfolk Boreas Development Consent Order, which will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in the summer of 2019

Norfolk Boreas is a 1.8GW offshore wind farm proposal with a development area located 73km off the Norfolk coast, and is the sister project of our Norfolk Vanguard project.
