Construction work on Farra Orla has commenced. The 27m vessel is being built by the Penguin International Shipyard (PSI) in Singapore. The vessel is an ED Dudson design from Incat Crowther. It will be BV Class, 24 seat HS-OSC code. The four Scania 900 hp engines will be linked to Hamilton Jets. Farra Marine has worked closely with the yard to ensure that it will have the most modern vessel available, with many extras for the ease of operation and comfort for the crew.

Farra Marine was started in 2019 by Martin Rice, originally as Marine Projects Ireland before morphing into the new brand of Farra Marine. The company is based in Dublin, with the focus on the UK and European Markets. Martin has selected a number of people from within the sector with extensive knowledge to form the management team. Some with operational experience on site, and others with financial and Project Management backgrounds. Martin states: " We feel the perfect combination for the team has been created to deliver a first class service for any developers we work with in the future. Orla will be the first in our fleet,  with the aim to build to 10+ vessels in quick succession."

Fara Orla is scheduled for delivery around June 2021.
