CWind Taiwan implements COVID-19 measures

CWind Taiwan has implemented measures in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in line with guidelines issued by the Taiwanese government and its UK parent company, Global Marine Group.

These precautionary measures include the management team and HSE managers monitoring all shore staff, offshore crew and passengers’ health condition every day including taking temperature and the use of pre-boarding checks in the case of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs). Hygiene sanitisers have been made available in all office and vessel locations. All non-business-critical travel has been cancelled, including visitors to CWind Taiwan sites and locations.

Furthermore, all travel needs approval by management and HSE, including change of vessel crew or passenger onboard CTVs, and staff members visiting other sites. Deep cleans have been scheduled on a daily basis at all sites, offices and vessels.

In light of the Taiwanese government’s recent announcement of enhanced restrictions on incoming foreigners without resident visas, and the application of mandatory quarantine for all inbound visitors, CWind Taiwan is in dialogue with the relevant government departments and adapting its project planning to minimise any disruption to projects and clients.

The announcement follows updates from both Global Marine Group and sister company CWind which have implemented similar measures. COVID-19 test kits are being used onboard vessels, shore leave has been restricted and crew change rotations updated to minimise risk as far as possible.
