Fugro investigates Triton Knoll

Fugro GB Marine is undertaking a further four months of offshore and coastal site investigation works to help finalise construction and installation plans of the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm.

The seabed and ground condition tests will include investigations around the location of the joint bay, where the offshore export cable will connect to the
Triton Knoll electrical system onshore.

Over the course of about 10 days, there will be a variety of small vessels, including semi-rigid inflatable boats, close to the beach and shoreline.

It will also be possible to see 4x4 vehicles or a low ground-pressure, six-wheeled vehicle working on the coast line. Work will take place from the shoreline, all the way out to the wind farm area.  The survey will also be on the beach near Anderby, sometime between 18 and 27 June.

The 860MW
Triton Knoll offshore wind farm project is located 32km off the Lincolnshire coast and will be capable of generating enough energy to meet the needs of more than 800,000 typical UK homes.
