SmuldersOn Monday 21st May, the load-out of the Hohe See substation jacket took place at Smulders' yard in Vlissingen. Next week, the jacket will be shipped to its final destination in the German North Sea.

Smulders’ scope of work consists of the design and build of the steel structure for both the topside and foundation, including piles. The design and production will be completed in-house, in all Smulders’ production facilities, which results in short production duration and high flexibility.

Earlier this month EDS HV Group (EDS), completed installation, termination and testing work of the platform cable for cable manufacturer Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable Co., Ltd. (ZTT) on the EnBW
Hohe See project.

The
Hohe See wind farm is the biggest planned offshore wind project in Germany. It will produce enough electricity for nearly 560,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by over 1.5 million tons per year. This project will be brought online before the end of 2019.
