Goldwind and Mingyang bag chinese turbine contract

Xinjiang Goldwind Technology Co., Ltd. and Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co., Ltd. have both been selected to supply turbines for the Fengxian phase 1 offshore wind farm located North of Hangzhou Bay, Shanghai, China.

Each company will supply turbines to provide 100 MW of capacity. The includes wind turbines, related technical services and training, lifting tools, special tools and required parts, transportation, installation and operation with a waranty period.


Construction is estimated to start within the next two years. Located 12 km offshore, the wind farm is adjacent to the Yanhai Channel and the East China Sea Bridge allowing easy access for large construction vessels.

A consortium of SPIC Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd and Shanghai Green Environmental Energy Co., Ltd was selected to develop the project last year by the  Shanghai Development and Reform Commission (SDRC).


The Fengxian phase two project will add a further 200 MW in the near future.
