In a statement on Wednesday from Northland Power, President and CEO Mike Crawley stated that foundation installation at the 269MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm is progressing on time and budget, with 13 foundations installed at present.

Foundation installation began in September this year, using Seajack's jack-up vessel
Scylla.
EEW SPC manufactured the 31 monopiles in Rostock, using over 35,000 tons of steel in the process.
Load out and transport of the monopiles via barge to the projects installation hub in Cuxhaven began in August.

It is hoped that foundation installation, including the two 'mono bucket foundations', will be complete by mid-2019, with the whole project reaching completion by the end of 2019.

In addition to its currently operating assets, Nordsee One and Gemini, Northland Power is also developing three offshore projects in Taiwan and has interests in expanding across Asia to Japan and South Korea.

Mike Crawley went on to say:  "with development teams on the ground in our key markets, and our offshore operations hub in Germany in place, we remain well-positioned for continued growth and operational excellence.”
