LOC Germany to support DP trials for BSM duo

LOC Germany, a subsidiary of LOC Group, has been awarded works with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) to provide remote Dynamic Positioning (DP) trials.

The scope of work includes both the preparation of the remote DP trial programme and providing marine engineering consulting on DP systems for two service operations vessels of the BSM fleet; the WINDEA LEIBNIZ and the WINDEA LA COUR. Both vessels are engaged in supporting offshore wind farm operations off the coastlines of Germany and the Netherlands.

Siemens contracted Berhard Schulte to charter WINDEA LA COUR to support operations and maintenance support on the Gemini offshore wind farm. It went into service in 2016. It was followed by WINDEA LEIBNIZ a year later which was chartered by Siemens to work on a long term contract on Sandbank and DanTysk.

LOC Germany also provides DP services to the DP-2 LNG bunker supply vessel KAIROS managed by BSM.
