Mazu Land and Marine Works gets HDD work in Taiwan

Mazu Land & Marine Works (MLM) has been awarded a contract by Hung Hua Construction (HHC) to install horizontal directional drilling (HDD) conduits at an offshore wind farm cable installation in Taiwan.

The cable installation is being carried out by Seaway Offshore Cables, part of Subsea 7, for whom HHC is subcontracting. Under the contract, MLM will provide a marine spread, project management, and support services for the HDD works. The company also intends to collaborate with Thaitan Drilling, an HDD specialist, for design, engineering, and drilling equipment.

The contract is expected to commence in Q2 2020.

MLM is a subsidiary of Kim Heng Offshore & Marine Holdings Limited. The Kim Heng group is head-quartered in Singapore and has three main business segments: (1) offshore rig services/supply chain management, (2) heavy-lift equipment, and (3) vessel sales and newbuilds.
