MHI Vestas and ZITON extend agreement

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind and ZITON A/S have signed a three-year framework agreement extension for jack-up vessel during offshore wind turbine servicing. As a result of the new framework agreement, ZITON will remain the main partner for major component replacements at MHI Vestas's offshore wind farms.

The framework agreement further expands the scope to include sites where MHI Vestas' 8.0-10 MW V164 turbine model is installed. In addition, the extension introduces a possibility for MHI Vestas to utilise the vessels for preparation and commissioning work in connection with main component exchanges.

ZITON was formerly known as DDB Jack-up operates four vessels jack-up vessels. This includes J/U WIND, J/U WIND PIONEER, and J/U WIND SERVER and M/V Enterprise. It has supported offshore wind farm projects in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, and the UK.
