Mingyang Smart Energy begins construction for South China Sea wind farm

Mingyang Smart Energy announced the launch of the construction of the 500MW Qingzhou 4 Offshore Wind Project off the coast of Yangjiang, Guangdong, China.

The South China Sea project features 25 Mingyang’s MySE 11-230 and 18 MySE 12-242 bottom-fixed turbines, and one floating turbine, and is expected to be the first wind farm in China integrating with aquaculture farming and hydrogen production.

Once completed by the end of 2023, Qingzhou 4 is expected to supply 1.8 billion kWh of electricity per year, and reduce 1.4 million tons of CO2e emissions.
