MingYang turbines arrive in Taranto

MingYang Smart Energy's MySE 3.0-135 wind turbines have arrived in Italy for the Taranto offshore wind farm project.

MingYang disclosed that the turbines arrived at the YILPORT last week, carried by the vessel Chipol Changan.

The 30 MW Taranto Offshore (or Beleolico) ibeing developed by Renexia, which obtained a feed-in-tariff (FiT) of € 161.70/MWh back in 2016 although the plant is entitled to add an additional €40/MWh to this, having built the electrical connection itself.

The wind farm will consist of ten turbines, and is expected to power the equivalent of 21,000 households.
