New name for Porth Nefyn

Crew transfer vessel Porth Nefyn has been renamed Mareel Ocean Blue and repainted in the Mareel's colours. The work was carried out by Alicat Workboats in Great Yarmouth.

The 20m vessel was designed by BMT Nigel Gee and was built in 2015. Construction started a the Buckie Shipyard but was completed by Mainstay Marine after Buckie entered administration before the project could be completed.

Mareel Ocean Blue has been working on the
Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm since August 2018 and was originally part of Turbine Transfer's fleet, prior to Northern Offshore Group acquiring the company's assets in 2019 and establishing a new business Mareel Limited. Late last year, Rhosneigr Bay, also part of Mareel's fleet was renamed Mareel Titanium.
