Seaway Heavy Lifting scores Triton work

Seaway Heavy Lifting, part of Subsea 7 Renewables & Heavy Lifting Business Unit, has been awarded a contract for the transportation and installation of foundations at the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm located 32km off the coast of Lincolnshire, UK.

The contract scope includes the transport and installation of 90 monpile foundations and two offshore substations and was awarded by Triton Knoll Offshore Windfarm Limited.

Offshore installation activities will be executed in 2020 using Seaway Heavy Lifting’s crane vessel,
Stanislav Yudin.

We look forward to supporting Innogy in completing the development of the Triton Knoll Windfarm offshore.”

Earlier today, innogy SE announced
the Financial Close of the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm with all debt required now fully committed by the project lenders. Total planned investment volume amounts to approximately £2bn.

Once fully operational, the 860MW
Triton Knoll project is expected to be capable of supplying the equivalent of 800,000 UK households with renewable electricity annually. The planned investment volume amounts to approximately £2bn (approx. €2.24bn at the current exchange rate).
