Nordsee One issues component exchange contract

The
Nordsee One offshore wind farm has issued a tender for services and works for the exchange of major components on 47 wind turbines.

Starting from 1 March 2022, the work is expected to last until the last turbine has been completed. The main tasks will be the replacement of major components (i.e. rotor shaft-bearings of the wind turbine generators), documentation and reporting of the tasks and the turbines and all tasks which are necessary to keep them running, full logistics (including e.g. provision of heavy lift vessels) and base infrastructure.


Interested parties have until 11:00 local time on 5 July 2021 to apply.


The
Nordsee One offshore wind farm is owned by Northland Power (85%) and RWE (15%). It is located around 45km from the coast of Germany in an area with an annual mean wind speed of 9.8m/s and water depths of between 26m and 29m. The wind farm comprises of 54 Senvion 6.2M126 wind turbines and produces an annual output of more than 1,300GWh of green energy, enough to supply the equivalent of approximately 400,000 German households. The wind farm is operated and serviced from the operation and maintenance base in Norddeich (Germany, Lower-Saxony).
