International
technical service provider ODE, an integral part of the DORIS Group, has
been awarded a consultancy framework agreement by ScottishPower Renewables
for the provision of client representatives during construction activities
for the East
Anglia ONE Offshore Windfarm.
For the contract scope ODE will provide specialist client representatives
for all construction activities at the project including the installation
of piles, jackets, scour protection and cables, grouting operations and
the turbine package works are also included.
ODE Regional Director, Jeff Barnes said: “The
client representatives that we provide toEast
Anglia ONE will be the eyes
and ears of the installation team. They undertake a significant role that
will be instrumental in the efficient running and successful delivery of
the project.”
ODE will deliver engineering and project management
support personnel for a period of up to mid-2020 on site and out of the
Project Office in Central London.
The £2.5bn East
Anglia ONE wind farm is the first
of four projects in the East Anglia region to begin construction. The 714MW
array will feature 102 SWT-7.0-154
direct-drive wind turbines, each with a capacity of 7MW.
The agreement is the latest development in
a ten-year relationship between ODE and ScottishPower Renewables.

to the offshore wind sector. Due to be fully commissioned in 2020, the
project will play an important role in UK offshore wind power generation,

Internationally, ODE is also acting as Owners
Engineer for LEEDCo's Icebreaker
Project on Lake Erie in the US and has recently supported the offshore
turbine, cable lay and substation installations at Iberdrola's Wikinger
Project in Germany.
