P&O Maritime Logistics secures contract extension for cable vessel

P&O Maritime Logistics, a member of the DP World group of companies, announced that its contract for its cable lay vessel Topaz Installer with Seaway 7 has been extended.

The company has been active in the region for several years developing the Greater Changhua, ChangFang and Xiado wind farms. With the extension, the vessel will support the construction of three offshore wind farms in Taiwan until 2024 with further work to be agreed in 2025.

The vessel has a length of 88.2m, breadth of 24m and its turntable has a maximum capacity of 3600 tonnes. It has been used on a number of offshore wind farm and grid connection projects in Europe, laying and burying subsea cables.
