Polish project gets grid approval

Polish Transmission System Operator Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A (PSE) has issued approval of connection conditions for 399 MW across Ocean Wind's B-Wind and C-Wind offshore wind farms.
The project sites, covering 90 km2, are located in Poland’s Baltic Sea Exclusive Economic Zone, approximately 23km offshore. The two projects will join the grid at the connection point SE2, Zarnowiec.

The connection conditions are a pre-requisite for participating in the second, competitive, stage of Poland's offshore wind auction system as defined under the draft Offshore Wind Act.

Ocean Winds is the result of a 2019 joint venture by EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE. The JV is the sole owner of development companies B-Wind Polska Sp. z o.o. and C-Wind Polska Sp. z o.o with efforts currently focusing on key development activities: namely, offshore wind measurement campaigns, grid connection, environmental surveys and site investigations.
