Ramboll opens new office in Tokyo

Danish consulting engineering company Ramboll has announced the establishment of a new office in the capital of Japan. The new Tokyo office has been set up for in an effort for Ramboll to leverage its position on the local market and be closer to the clients tapping the offshore wind business.

Reflecting on the opening, Santiago Paredes-Pinzon, APAC Director, Offshore Wind, said: “We’ve made great progress during the past years, securing numerous projects in Asia, including Japan. The area is strategically important for our future growth plans, so it was clear that if we wanted to keep momentum, opening this new office was the right decision. Having a local team is exactly what our current set-up needed to maintain our successful path and serve our clients better”.


Shinichiro Abe has been appointed Country Director and his main responsibility will be to expand Ramboll’s capabilities and reach in the area. Ramboll highlighted that Shinichiro Abe has more than 20 years of global renewable energy industry experience including the latest position in a leading offshore wind company in Denmark. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and learned policy management at Keio University.
