Saipem appoints Offshore Wind Business Development Manager

Italian offshore engineering, drilling and construction company Saipem has appointed Anne-Bénédicte Genachte as its Offshore Wind Business Development Manager.

Anne-Bénédicte Genachte was, since 2016, Director of Development of the American Chamber of Commerce in France. Previously, she spent eight years in Brussels, including five in WindEurope where at first she was in charge of European lobbying for offshore wind before handling major accounts of the Association.

Before joining WindEurope Anne-Bénédicte Genachte had served as representative office in energy for the North East region of England.

Towards the end of last year Saipem secured a turn-key contract by EDF Renewables to support the construction of the Neart na Gaoithe wind farm offshore Scotland. It represents the first turn-key project Saipem has secured in the offshore wind farm sector.

Saipem's scope of work for Neart na Gaoithe consists of the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of 54 steel turbine foundation jackets, two steel offshore electrical substations foundation jackets and installation of the relevant topsides.
