Hellenic Cables’ near-term and long-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been officially approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). With its targets, Hellenic Cables, one of Europe’s largest cable producers, has committed to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050, and to increase annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 24% in 2020 to 80% by 2025 and 100% by 2030.

SBTi has confirmed that its targets conform with the latest Net Zero Criteria and Recommendations, while Hellenic Cables’ scope 1 and 2 ambition are in line with the 1.5oC trajectory.

"Climate change adaptation and mitigation has been officially integrated to our business strategy and the SBTi approval is our cast-iron guarantee.
