Parkwind has awarded Semco Maritime a service contract for the
Arcadis Ost 1 wind farm in the Baltic Sea northeast of the German island of Rügen.

Under the contract Semco Maritime will perform service assignments on the Arcadis Ost 1 project’s offshore substation during 2022-2027. The contract includes scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance, corrective maintenance and 24/7 monitoring and on duty call in connection with potential malfunction or disruption calling for immediate action.

Semco Maritime was responsible for designing and implementing all electrical systems on the substation during its construction. The substation was installed at the site last month (June 2022).

”We are pleased to continue the great cooperation with Parkwind and look forward to taking on the service assignments on Arcadis Ost 1 for the coming five years. We will leverage our deep knowledge of the project and bring our technological knowhow, experience and competencies in play to support Parkwind’s ambition of creating a truly sustainable future,” said Senior Vice President, Renewables, Semco Maritime, Jacob Øbo Sørensen.
The Arcadis Ost 1 wind farm will have a capacity of about 257 MW and is located in the Baltic Sea, 19 km north-east of the island of Rügen, within the 12 nautical mile zone of the Federal State Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. Parkwind secured grid capacity for the project in the offshore wind auction in Germany back in 2018. Offshore installation works are expected to start works in 2022. It is expected to be operational in 2023, and will be capable of generating enough green electricity for the annual power consumption of more than 290,000 homes.
